SoccerMaine Club Pass Policy
The “club pass” concept’s core objective is to provide clubs and coaches with the flexibility to move players from team to team in their own club as necessary for equity in games based on player development and team needs. Club Pass allows Clubs to temporarily loan players from one team to another for a specific game. Players may be allowed to move up two age groups, but never moved down an age group. Each Club shall determine their participation in program and Soccer Maine will not mandate participation.
Club pass will be allowed for ANY U9, U10 and U11 game. Club Pass may be used only for “friendlies” in the U12, U13 and U14 ages.
FYSA Club Pass Policy
- Club Pass only to be used for U9-U11 Teams when a team does not have enough players to field a team.
- Coaches may only borrow enough players to field a team and have a 1 or 2 subs.
- Players must be “borrowed” from other teams evenly with all players getting fair chances to play for other teams. Coaches are expected to manage and adhere to this.
- DO NOT play “borrowed” players over your own players. Team members must play at least 1/2 of each game with the goal being equal playing time. “Borrowed” players are expected to play at least 1/3 of the game (playing time expectation is different than for those who are on the regular roster).
